I just wanna know which neon injectors people are using to get better mpg? How much better you guys are getting? My engine is stock but think bout some basic upgrades to improve mpg, any other ideas?

I am installing a 3.5 inch RE lift and some 31's what kinda mpg should I expect?

The neon injectors you want are the 2.4L injectors from the 95-97 Neon. There are also many other vehicles manufactured my Mopar that you can use the injectors from. Also, you can use the Ford style injectors off the 5.0 Explorer and Mountaineers. All of those will work. Next time use the search unfction located at the top of your screen. Here is all the info you need in post 112 https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/mor...-13848/index8/ . Go to the last page towards the bottom for all of the Mopar vehicles.

For a 1996 with 4.0 you would want to run the 0 280 155 703 neon injectors.
In my 1999 i run the later model neon injectors (0 280 155 784)

I have a much smoother idle, throttle response has improved greatly, I have not yet documented fuel mileage yet. Being winter its hard to get a good reading with all the warming up i let the car do before driving.

95-97 neon 2.0 L injectors work too. 95-97 eclipse 2.0L injectors work if they are out o the 420a motor(non-turbo)

I believe those are the 24 lb injectors and those won't work for stock motors. If it was a stroker, they would be fine. You need the yellow 19 lb stick style injectors for a stock motor. In the link I posed earlier, there is a list of all the Ford injectors you can use along with all the Mopar injectors on page 13. Injectors from a 5.0L Explorer or Mountaineer are the ones you want if you're going with Ford style injectors. Just look around eBay and wait till a cheap set pops up. I picked up a mint set today for $25.

After reading the injector threads, I was at first confused, but after re-reading I found what was really needed. The 2.4L Neon injectors or the Ford 5.0 Explorer injectors. I went with some Ford 5.0 injectors out of a low mileage Explorer and they are in mint condition. Doesn't even look like the o-rings need replacement. And for $25, I couldn't pass it up. I kinda wanna see what happens to all the people just running injectors because they fit. I assume the O2 sensors crap out before anything else along with bad gas mileage.

If you would've read this thread, you would've seen my first post up there ^^. Then you could've clicked the link to find ALL the info you need on page 8 and page 13. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but there is plenty of info around if you search. Not sure if you can use the 2.4L turbo injectors. The Neon injectors that can be used in the XJ go by part number 0280155703. The Ford style injectors that can be used go by part numbers 0280155700 and 0280155710. There is a list of vehicles in the link I posted earlier, but I'll post again for the heck of it.

hate to admit it but I am running "random" injectors from a 5.0 mustang. While power seemed to increase a bit possibly no gas mileage increase at all.
