Missing an o2? Upsteam/Downstream?
Being around on this forum, I know the concept has been beat to death. Trust me, I know. But, not one thread on this specific issue. To begin, I had no O2 sensor after my cat. Not a big issue I realize, but just found it strange. Second, My o2's are SHOTTTTT. So, I went to Bennett Auto (FL auto parts store) and asked for O2's. From what I see, I only have 2 sensors... one before/after ( can't remember) the pre-cats on the manifold and one further down the down pipe. Well, the counter lady gave me the option of downstream/upstream. Does it really matter? Right now my Jeep does this lol.

Selecct an O2S with EXACT FIT features. Don't use Universal fit crap.
The upstream O2S has a longer pigtail than the downstream O2S. And the downstream O2S connector should have a screw-like plastic gizzy on it for attachment to the downstream O2S dog house.
If you have a choice use NTK Sensors (Original factory equipment).

Assuming this is for the 2001 in your profile the part numbers for the NTK's which are OEM are 23151 and 23099. They run about $30-35 each.[/QUOTE]
Damn I wish I could buy parts where you are. I have to pick up the 23151 today and it is $51.75 at the local NAPA store!
