What is the potential damage that may occur if driving around with a P0300 and a P0306 (misfire cylinder 6) OBD II Code, it may be a few day till i am able to get to the mechanic or to the shop? Just wondering if it'll f' it up bad. Thanks for the help
You're probably okay as long as it's misfiring and not backfiring. My bet is you have a bad fuel injector (that's the exact problem I had on mine). I drove it for at least a year and finally got around to fixing it and now it's fine. hurts your gas mileage though.

Ya, im hoping its not the Fuel injector (the one thing my guy isnt covering on his "warranty") but have read it could also possibly be a coil or spark plug. But Hey, it could be worse
. Thanks for the input and hopefully i will get to it next week at some point.

you could always get a philips screw driver and take off the dist cap and see what it looks like in there. 2 min and if its corroded or messes up inside there anyone that knows the smallest bit about a car could replace the cap and rotor!

hmm, i am just going to take it as i can drive it, but don't beat the crap out of it
thanks for the input, read a lot of other peoples problems with it... seems its pretty annoying and a pain to fix since it could be like 1 and a half million things.

Very common problem for the 2000-01 xj's, you need the heat sheild for # 3 injector from the dealer, and then you should use the heat sheilds for spark plug boots cut to fit over all the injectors. Yes I've been there and fixed that.

ya, it seems that way. I was reading one users post about all the different stuff he did (literally everything). Then it came down to a head, after that seemed to work fine for him.
