Default Melted wiring BOO

im not sure why this happen I'm not every well versed in electrical stuff but I got power back my acc and run circuits and about 30 to 45 seconds after I fired up the engine I had ALOT of smoke coming from under the center console. The wire that melted come from a bundle of wires running on the floor in the back and goes up the molding right by the passenger door to the roof of the vehicle. The wires for the power seats are in this same bundle...where do I start??????

I'll post some this afternoon when I get off work. And correction the bundle of wire I mentioned runs on the floor and up the back of the door DRIVER side...I assume the first plan of attack would be figuring out what circuit the melted wire is on

Do the dome lights work? Have you looked at the fuse block for a jumped fuse slot?

some lights work (minus the cargo light in back it's never worked) the dome fuse popped every time I put the battery cables on before I unplugged the cigar lighter and now it's just intermittent.

This is right behind the drivers seat..melted wire running under the center console.
This is in front of the bench seat runs on the floor to the back driver side door. Haven't tore the molding off yet but feels like it runs up to the fuse box

the red and black wires with true connector at the end is the power n ground for the seats

Ok so I'm a little confused..the wire from the ignition switch to the E brake switch is the culprit and it got hot super quick. Non of the other wires SEEM to be affected. My first thought is a short to ground on or before the switch. Is there a more likely problem?? Could I get lucky and have it be that simple lol

Note from DJ
I’m working on some ideas regarding your problem so don’t give up. I will post my thoughts as soon as I do some more research.
