well its awesome that you got your jeep up and running again.... and plain and simple im an *******, i give any and everyone **** for little dumb things, as i would expect anyone to give it right back for little dumb things..... like someone stated previously that Good In=Good Out.... youre only going to get as good information as you give... and i commend you for owning up to what you did, thats the biggest thing that bothered me. i could careless about the lack of knowledge for equipment cause there are a million times ive misunderstood what something was. but it really really irritated me how you were asking on here whether you should tell your friend that you started messing with it or just leave it there.... that really bothers me... but again good job you got it running and running good, and congrats on the work you did.

 

I have only been a member of this forum for a very short time and what a great resource for people that love the XJ. For the most part,it has been a positive experience.The lady from Wales may not know the correct term for all of the parts on her XJ, I don't think she deserves such a rude response. Her lack of knowledge of the correct terminology can be taken care of by using a forum like this one. However,it doesn't appear that she wants to continue to do so. So - WTF Dudes, lighten up.-------GeezerD

You are to be commended on your honesty at least. and there is no need for me to leave infact I am currently trying to improve my technical knowledge for some of the engine parts etc. So If it is ok I will stick around. It did feel good getting it going, and I better go because theres 5 acres of mud with my name on it and a missing horse shoe.

 

Lady......Firstly, I for one am glad you at least checked us rednecks, rod-jockeys, cowboys, gurus, neat-freaks, swami's, and dumba$$es alike out on this forum and am also very glad you got your problem all worked out!

Amazing sometimes what a little Preventative maintenance can do for these vehicles.

I also wish to personally apoligize for any of MY comments.....I am very lighthearted when I comment on this forum, so I do hope you did not take what I had said as something rude! ( I like to joke around a bit, mostly cuz of rum!,,hee hee)

Yes, there are some VERY knowledgeable people here, and a lot of folks who have experienced various symptoms and solutions which can and do freely offer to those who are in need of such advice!
