Default Max Height?

What is the maximum amount of lift you can do without needing new shocks? It's mainly a DD but I take it hunting on the weekends, nothing serious.

when you say you recommend getting new shocks. do you mean new stock height shocks? or longer ones? bcz i want to upgrade my shocks before i do a small lift also (2inch) but dont want to spend money on new shocks if im gonna need new ones. (not trying to hi jack thread, just trying to get a question answered without making a new thread). thanks

i ran a 2" lift on an a previous cherokee i had (coils and leafs) and ran the stock shocks for a while and they performed fine.... i guess they were still good.... if your stock shocks are old a crusty and going bad then i wouldn't really use them... but if your stockers are still good and have some life left then you would be okay

Skyjacker or Rancho 3" lift with add a leaf. You need longer shocks with a shackle as well as a spacer in front or you can ruin the shocks by pulling the pistin off the rod.
