Manual and Radiators
Rad blew on my 97, I can find a new one on Rock Auto for 63 bucks. However most I am finding online are listed for the autos, which means they have the trans cooler. Obviously my manual does not have/need trans cooler lines. I understand that the trans cooler is an 'in tank' meaning you don't need the cooler lines hooked up. Is this correct? Can I use a rad with the trans cooler and not hook anything up?
Side question. I need to replace the oil pressure sending unit, what brand do you guys recommend? My original crapped out replaced with a mastercraft from Oreilly now shows oil pressure 40 + to max depending on RPM. Mechanical gauge reads proper pressure.

I think you would be alright with a auto radiator. Maybe check and make sure all the mounting locations are the same and there wouldn't be any clearence issues between the fan, shroud, and belt system.
As far as the oil pressure sending unit... Most of these guys around here recomend going with one from the dealership. I got mine from advance auto parts about 3 months ago and it works just fine.

Without really knowing I'm gonna say the rad will be fine. Heck, run a line through it and set up a spigot for hot water! I can't imagine thay changed the mounts or hoses for the manual trans.
I normally just trust what Napa has. Maybe not the best, but not crap either.

The trans fluid would go through a separate part of the rad than the coolant. It should work, but you'd be best getting one for a manual, it might have better cooling for the engine.

Plug the trans cooler fittings. Outside that there is no difference other than about 1/3 cup fluid capacity. Most of the aftermarket stuff has the trans coolers as a 'universal' radiator, less stock to carry that way. No harm in measuring your current radiator and comparing before you order, in fact it's probably a good idea regardless.
Get the pressure sender from the dealer, or as a second choice NAPA. You'll probably go through several cheap ones before finding one that reads right. When they blow they can drain your crankcase rather quickly, so not really a good place to economize.

You could add a radiator to your radiator! You can radiate while you radiate!
You will be fine using an auto rad for a manual.. Check the mounting tho.

For sensors, I'll typically go with BorgWarner, Standard Motor Parts, or ACDelco - they've all treated me well.

The radiator I put in my 87 has the fittings for the trans cooler. Came with plugs on the fittings, I left them plugged. The old radiator (most likely the original radiator) had the fittings on it too. Works fine in my 5 speed Jeep.

Does it have Oil cooler or NOT
I have a Grand Cherokee
Year Feb 2000
3.1 DIESEL WJ
VARIANT: 8 L 4 B
Now I have ENGINE oil in the water.
I know it has to be the gasket or even the block cylinder but I only want to make sure that there is (or not) an oil cooler where there could be a leak of oil that mixws with the water.
DOES SOMEBODY KNOW IF THIS MODEL HAS AN OIL COOLER IN IT?
Thanks

First thing that occurred to me was: If you measure the radiator and it fits you could rig up lines to the tranny cooler unit from your power steering maybe?
