Lowering a 95 Cherokee
I have a customer that wants to lower his 95 Cherokee.
Does anyone sell a kit? I have started to search online, and have not really had any luck.

I dont believe there is a kit, though I cant say I have ever looked.
The best bet would be a 2wd since a drop front axle (straight axle with upward bends at each wheel/hub) could be made to lower the front end about 3-4" and keep stock suspension.
For the rear you would have to either do flip kit, moving the axle above the leaf springs and rewelding the spring perches or using a MJ axle since they are already spring under. Or you could remove some of the leaves, or both.
If it is a 4wd then there are less options.. The front axle will come in contact with the under carriage and the front driveshaft may not have enough room to move...

Why not? To each thier own. Just because you dont like it doesnt make it wrong. Most people who lift 2wds get flamed as well because people think its worthless.. What if the XJ is 2wd.. what makes lowering it any different than lowering an 2wd Blazer? Because its a Jeep? I dont like the idea lowering a 4x4 either.. and if that is what they are wanting they picked the wrong vehicle to do it with. They need an IFS vehicle. But perhaps they want an AWD type vehicle for better road performance..

I never reall understood why folks always get flamed for lowering Jeeps, especially XJs. I for one would love to own a lowered 2-door 2WD, especially if it had a 4.7L stroker and an AX-15 5-speed. Slap in some nice short, stiff road shocks and put some poly bushings on the swaybar and let er rip. IMHO sounds like it would be a blast! No reason to hate on someone wanting to do something different with their XJ, I'm sure we all love our XJ's the same, short or tall as they may be.

Hell, I wouldn't mind a lowered 4x4 XJ...only like 2" or 3" tops, Combined w/ a high horse engine and a T-101 4 speed, and I bet you could have a pretty fast lil prairie rocket... Now ya got me thinking....

Thanks for some info.
He has a mother or grandmother that is in a wheel chair. He can't afford a low enough vehicle, so he wasn't sure of his options.
He seen my Envoy parked out in front of the shop, and was like damn, if my truck was that low, she wouldn't have any problems getting in.
His truck is 4x4
