Of course mini-trucks themselves aren't worth much in the truck market anyways. But a bagged fullsize isn't necessarily useless just because it is bagged.

These bagged trucks seem to be "working" just fine...and having a bit of fun doing it.

Also, the same thing could be said for a lifted truck with big tires. Not real feesible to have a "work" truck lifted 8" with 38"s... would not want to load/unload anything out of that bed on a regular basis.

And no.. not offended. I like/respect all forms of modified vehicles.

Thats what I like to see . Bagged tow rigs. Big tractor trailers have air bags, so why not dually pickups.

yeah, great idea...go on a trip towing a trailer and laugh about scraping parts off your tow vehicle while you're at it.

I think "effing stupid" comes to mind when it comes to idiots like that. sure, wheelers laugh about breaking stuff on their designated wheeling rig all the time...doesn't mean whe go out knowing that we WILL break it...just that there is a possibility.

dropping a tow rig with full knowledge that parts of it are going to scrape on the ground is the equivelant of eating glass and not expecting any pain on the way out. it's just plain stupid.

not to mention...it's damaging the road. that's a terrible image to convey. why the heck aren't the "greenies" going after d-bags like this who damage government property?

yeah, the dragging part is pretty stupid. I like how the trucks look when parked and the bags dumped but think it is dumb to purposely drag them.

the dropped MJ has had the entire "subframe" "framerails" removed as well as floors.

it is sitting on an s10 chassis with independent front end.

you WILL NOT be able to get that much drop on an MJ chassis. think a few inches higher, and not as tall of rims.

I don't care for the dropped look, but I do like the Waggy header panel on the MJ.

he could lower it as low as possible and body drop it 4 inches.

He could also buy a Mustang II aftermarket IFS setup and just notch the front frame rails, slide the IFS up into it and weld it together.

The MJ is on a unibody chassis like the XJ. It would take an incredible amount of fabrication for the body drop.

huh, why do they run the bed seperate from the cab then? That is why I thought it had a regular frame. The bed just comes off though like any other pickup?

the amount of bad things I want to say about the suggestion of body-dropping an MJ is endless. that's the most I'm permitted to say on the forum, lest I get in trouble again.

I know the cab is unibody construction and I think the bed is to. I'm not positve on the bed, but someone on here will be able to answer that question.

yeah i wouldnt drop it quite that much and i figured it wasnt the orig. chassis. i think a tube chassis would be the way to go...more options to link the rear.

the bed is set on what is called a "uniframe". it is removeable, and though it is all sheet metal (i.e. uniframe), it is similar to a typical framed setup behind the cab.

Any idea on what the thought was behind that design? Was it split cost with the Cherokee layout? Was it just to keep it as stiff as possible? I looked at some of them with suspension flexed and they seem to be a lot more ridgid then a lot of full frame pickups.
