Lower transmission cooler line replacement. Which part?
Hey,
So I am replacing the lower transmission cooler line on my 98 xj and I need the whole line assembly from the radiator to the transmission.

Not sure which part from rock auto is the correct replacement.

or

When I tore the old line out I bent and twisted it because it was stuck to my radiator. I know, I should have just cut and replaced a section of it. Too late now though. I was a little frustrated at that time trying to disconnect that fitting so I decided to rip the whole thing out and it wasn't pretty.
Again, thanks for your help

Perfect. Just what I was looking for. So from the diagram you sent me I need Dorman 624354.
But comparing your diagram with the products pictures it looks like they are vise versa.
624-354 looks like it has a 90* bend in your diagram. But the product pictures doesn't show that. 624-355 looks like it has a 90* bend though.

Consider getting the quick disconnect at the transmission too. They can come apart when you touch them. I believe CCKen likes the Dorman lines. I thought they were the biggest piles of Chinese crap I've ever seen. They are lighter than the factory lines and the quick disconnect end radiator side took a lot of fussing with. I threw it in the garbage and bought one from the dealer.

Hey just an FYI. This diagram is wrong. I needed the line that connected closes to the engine on the transmission. On the diagram it says its part number 624354. I ordered that part and it was the wrong one. I then ordered 642355 and it was the correct one. I dont mean to blame anyone I just wanted to inform anyone who was looking to buy a part based on the diagram.

You probably have this solved by now, but just wanted to chime in and say that when I had to replace this hose on my '00 XJ, even the diagram in the dealership's computer was wrong. I ended up removing the hose and taking it in with me to the parts department and we had to literally compare hoses side by side until we found the right one. Fortunately the price at the dealership was reasonable, and I felt like any extra cost I paid was pretty reasonable considering how many times the guy had to run back into the warehouse. Good luck!
