Installing my new radiator in the 2001 XJ,, cheap a$$ Omix did not send grommets with their $230 dollar radiator.
There was no way I was paying $50 for 2 stinkin grommet bushing shipped. Mopar J0687550
Poking around I found 2 that looked like they may work: Dorman 926-281 and Dorman 926-280
The grommets fit very tight on the radiator "studs" and perfect fit in the hole in the core support.
I am assuming the Condenser goes on the radiator studs, then the grommets.
Everything installed great, the grommets create a 1/4" space between the core support and the radiator,, I am assuming the Mopar grommets do the same ??
The top rad core support cross member was about 3/16" high, but the bolts easily drew it down,, I assume this is normal.
