I realize this could be a write-up but since it was so easy I thought I would just pass on some quick need to knows that make it a little easier and a few photos of how bad my old radiator was. Also a trick to get the tank off for inspection of the old radiator.
Here is a comparison of the 2 radiators

The old tabs can be replaced by these new ones already attached to the new radiator

You will need to cut off the studs that hold the rubber isolators on, so you can install the top metal core support.

Heres the trick I mentioned, use a paint can opener to bend tabs back that hold the tank on. Then pry the tank off with a large screwdriver.

A few shots of why I needed to replace my radiator. WOW was that stuff thick.

Survey says, NOPE its still reading the same although it stays more consistent when the thermostat opens. The temp doesn't fluctuate as much. So now I am going to run a different temp gauge to see if its the gauge itself.
The block wasn't drilled for the temp sending unit in the first place since it was a Wrangler motor, so my guess is that it doesn't read right, but it had the space for it so I drilled and tapped it and there was antifreeze in the hole when I changed the sensor the other day. So now I'm stumped.
