I have an 89 XJ, and for as long as I can remember the operating voltage has been 11-12v. I've had 4 or 5 alternators in it and the voltage has always been the same. My dad's 96 however runs at 14v like any other vehicle. Also, whenever I give someone a jump it will barely turn their engine over while mine bogs a bit, and never took that much juice to start mine in the first place.
So is this just a renix thing? Or could it be something in the alternator circuit, possibly the voltage regulator?
I had a sub in it for a year and never had any issues with dimming headlights or anything if that helps at all. TIA

Click on the "pink link" in my signature right below here and do what is outlined in Posts 1, 3, and 18 before chasing around for other things. A very good time investment into your renix Jeep.
