Default LOW RPMS

My 96 sport acts like it doesn't want to start but does an when I'm at at stop the rpms are almost at 0. Just did a tune up on an still same. Any ideas??

i had a similar problem.

crank positioning sensor
idle air sensor
cam positioning sensor
distributor.

i changed just about every sensor and even my fuelpump before i took 4 minutes to change the distributor and fixed everything.

o2 sensors maybe? What about fuel delivery? Do a test at the rail and see what ya get.

Haven't really tried anything other than checking my plug wires an firing order. Check engine light came on an code said cylinder 1 misfire any ideas about that that?

wires.

check them, ohm them out. click on plugs ok? plugs, worn out? (mine after 75k AHENH read .050) whoops!

should be .035 on 4.0L as far as i can smell........(heeeeeeyyyy!)

that guy is sauced. don listen!

i have coil packs so its probably not the same. (2000-2001)

i also have a parts jeep so it was free.

Plugs wires rotor button distributer cap all new just put on early this week an I made sure they all clicked in an still the same

isnt the cam positioning sensor inside of that assembly?
try crankshaft positioning sensor. cheap and takes 15 minutes

also try the fuel filter.

could be... i had spare sensors so i changed em all lol i dunno how much they cost.

theres the idle air controller. it could be very dirty and its housing could be as well... i was told to clean it since i have a lot of oil blow-by. ended up helping even though that wasnt my cause. could be yours though.
