Default low/rough idle cherokee, need help

hello everyone. this is my first post

so lets start this off by explaining what has been done

i have a 1990 cherokee with the renix in it and have spent many hours trying to get it to idle nice

i have just put a brand new block in it, the old engine had excessive blow by and was worn out, it idled low and rough as well not quite as bad as it does now though

so here are the list of new parts and i have tested to confirm they are good

brand new engine block (timing set cruisers way) last 1/4 of the rotor passing post 1 when on the "0" mark
coil
distributor
cap
rotar
plugs gaped to .35
wires
new injectors 703s
New map tested ok and no leaks
iac tested ok
tps tested ok and set .8v
cts tested ok 250 ohms
cps .5v and 195 ohms
o2 Bosch

egr removed and blockoff plate installed(vac lines blocked too)

fuel pressure tested good 31 and 39

Charcoal canister has been removed

tried swapping computer with a friends no differance.........do not recommend anyone trying this it is such a pain in the ***

tb is clean

no vac leaks and its only pulling about 12-13 inches at idle

Sensor ground circuit has been re soldered and an Extra ground has been been spliced into hire harness and grounded to firewall

Dip stick tube is shiny and an extra 4ga wire added to body aswell

so it idles around 450-500 rpm once it warms up, when i come to a stop sign it almost stalls, it will do this if you play with the throttle when its idling as well.

i am sure i am missing somethings i have triet

please send some suggestions my way

Are the grounds at the engine dipstick tube stud sitting on clean shiny metal, or fresh new paint?

Do Tip 5 with key off.

Thanks cruiser I was hoping you would chime in

Well I checked restance today, with the engine cold and I got .3 ohms through the tps connector vs last nights hot engine at arpund 3.1ohms. All the connectors are clean at the dip stick, but I noticed my buddy who did the swap for me installed the dip stick tab between the motor and flanged grounding stud, and I have no way to take it off cus it's requires some weird star socket to remove the stud, so I can completely clean the paint off between block and stud flange.
Would I be better adding another ground from the stud to the body somewhere?less hustle of trying to remove stud

Ground them somewhere else on the block then.

Tip 5 and 6 should be looked at also.

If you ever need me to chime in, PM me with a link to your thread/post!!

Okay so I am off at work and will not be able to work on the jeep for 2 weeks

But I am composing a list of things I will do when I get back

1. I am going to do tip 6 and solder all the connections in the harness properly

2. Can I make a jumper from the dip stick stud to the frame using 4 ga wire rather than relocating the wires?

3. splice into the ground wire near the ecu and ground to dash or something, what wire on the ecu is the ground wire? Added grounding solution??

After reading tip 1 I just realized my battery is grounded out on my dip stick tube, and it should be slightly ahead of that on its own bolt.

Good.

Yes.

No big deal.

Will do thanks,
the added ground under dash is the last thing I'll try as I know how hard it is to remove those connectors and getting the ecu out....

FYI, the ECU is easier to remove if you unbolt the bracket from the dash and not the ECU from the bracket.

So this is the wire I will be soldering, 3 wires head towards front of block and 1 goes to map, 1 heads toward drivers side of engine was and the final 1 heads toward the passanger side of engine bay( is this one the ground for the dip stick?!?)

So could I add a larger ground wire into that and attach it right to the dip stick tube?
