i know the crank bearings cause the oil pressure to drop but i was wondering what else could it be?

One of the best investments I made was a good quality guage,They are cheap. The guage gives you piece of mind.
If your oil pressure is that low it will start to miss because the lifters will stop working followed by a loud lower end knock if ran to long.

hey marc i have a 2000 that does the same thing. ive replaced the sending unit and tried thicker oil but still have the same issue. ive done a lot of research because i just turned 100k and figured it was way to eary for bearing to go bad. anyway from what ive read the factory gagues are junk. i hooked up a mechanical gague to mine and it was just fine. i bet yours is too.
