No problem. Went to school there a thousand years ago. DU. Is O'Lingers Cross still lit in the rockies at night?

If I remember correctly O'Lingers is a mortuary in the Denver area. They are like McDonalds. Everywhere. The running joke used to be "O'Linger on you SOB."

Oh I'm not sure then there's a huge cross that's lit on the mountain side... Thought that's what you were talking about.. Supposedly biggest in the country/world

I was talking about the cross. It was supposedly put there by the mortuary.

My oil pressure gauge sometimes works and sometimea the dummy light comes on. I've already changed the OPS unit, and when I did the rear main seal and oil pan seal, the oil looked fine. Could the issue be the gauge itself or bad connections?

I'm in the same boat - oil pressure drops, check gague light comes on. Changed oil pressure sending unit, same thing happens.
Haven't been able to find a solution.
Maybe someone will chime in.

For above two posters, whenever you are unsure about your true oil pressure, you should test it with a MECHANICAL OIL PRESSURE GAUGE.

You temporarily install it where your oil pressure sending unit currently resides. Very easy to do and you can often rent a mechanical gauge from your local parts store; call around. The mechanical gauge will tell the story; they are very reliable. They eliminate the variables of the sending unit, wiring and dash gauge.

This is one of the first things that any competent shop technician would do if you bring a vehicle into a shop that shows low oil pressure on the factory gauge.

Well update... I drove around today for about 1.5 hours and the temp out was 60 and sunny. Good news is the coolant level stayed the same so fingers crossed it was just that hose leak I found!!
