Interier Lighting On/Off Option
One of the small grips I have is the XJ's lack of the option to have interior lights not to turn on when a door is opened. I've never been a fan of having vehicle interior lights come on when doors are opened, I just don't like lighting up the interior unless I need to.
It seems a simple bypass toggle switch would remedy this but before I start trying to figure out I would bet others have already addressed this and come up with the fix.
Edit. And it is a pain in the *** to have worked on the Jeep all day and then find your battery has died because the doors were open!

One of these days I will install locking jamb switches, push in and give 1/4 turn, plunger stays depressed.

My 93 came with factory wiring disconnects that are in both kick panels. So when I go door-less,I just unplug them and no lights or buzzer! Can post a pic if you want

I did that too for a while, but I don't go doorless. I just like to leave the doors open and play music in my driveway while I'm working on projects, but I quickly found out that without the buzzer it only took me a few days to leave my headlights on. So that little switch would be best of both worlds, because in my jeep, that little disconnect thing is a pain to unplug.
