Default Loud banging when turning

I get a loud bang/knocking when I turn and apply power, like in a roundabout. It must be something that's turning as it sounds rotational ie: bang bang bang bang, like it was the prop shaft or something.
It sounds quite severe, and possibly coming from the rear diff. Sounds like the rear anyway.

Check the driveshaft U-joints. Pull the drums off the rear and inspect the brakes.

Are you sure it's in the rear?
