Default AT A LOSS...

i have a 99 cherokee sport. i went to crank it today and it wont crank. at first it cranked but it was sputtering and then shut off. it has gas and its trying to turn over, it just wont. it sounds like its trying to suck in more air. im thinking its the injectors not getting enough fuel for it to crank. help me out please...i need thoughts and ideas.

Can you smell fuel? If you can smell fuel then you're PROB getting enough fuel and it's an air issue. You could always try testing the IAC motor. Easy way to tell if it's that is just take it out and if jeep starts with it out = your problem.
Either that or bad cps could be throwing off what injector to squirt when

then you dont have a fuel problem, it's getting to the cylinders just not burning. you know where the IAC is? It's only two torx screws to take out. If you take it out and it turns over and revs super duper high (nothing to fix the flow) then you need a new one

Well you can just go to a jy and get one for maybe 25 bucks (I got one out of a 4.0L that had twice as many miles as mine, but it still works lol) or if your weary about junk yard parts get one new maybe like... 50 or 60 bucks? Make sure that it's the problem though, you have a 99 just like me there's no gasket for the IAC you can just pop it out and put it back on without sealing or anything.
