Looking for lift advice
I have a 94 jeep cherokee 5spd that I have owned forever and now that i am moving its finally time to go ahead and do it. I have a budget of around 2000 for 4.5inch lift and tires.
The tires and rims are going to be in the 500 to 600 dollar range for 32x11.5 bfg at i believe(i got a set of junkyard rims to be powercoated)
The lift i still have no clue on, as i have been into the drag racing scene for so long I have never really paid attention. I would like a 4.5 inch lift, control arm drop, steering stabalizer, shocks, and if i need it the slipyolk eliminator kit and driveshaft. I would like to get this for under 1300 if possible
so a couple of questions
1. How do i determine if i need the slipyolk eliminator/driveshaft?
2. Who maked good lift kits that come with all you need?(I was thinking rough country)
3. What concerns will i have traveling 1500 miles with the setup like that?

1. - you can only tell when your lift is installed...im sure youll probaly need a longer driveshaft but you might be able to get away with a TC drop with the vibes...since its a pre-97 XJ you have a better chance of not having any...
2. - Rough Country has a good complete kit...also check into Iron Rock Offroad...
3. - you should be alright travling that distance...

I recommend going with the RC 4" or 4.5" lift kit. It is a good complete kit at a better price than anybody else can touch. At 4.5" putting on a 1" transfer case drop kit will make your vibes go away. Your lift kit should come with this. Much cheaper route than buying a SYE. As long as you don't lift any higher your XJ will live like this just fine. I have 4wheeled the **** out of mine with the XFR case drop and no SYE. 4 years later still no breakage. I haven't had any problems with the cross member getting hung up on rocks either. A 4.5" lift is perfect for running a 32x11.50x15 mudders, too. The tires have plenty of room to move through the entire travel of the suspension with no rubbing.
One issue you will have if using stock rims is the backspacing sucks for larger than stock tires and you will need wheel spacers. If you spring for after market rims be sure you get them with 3.75-4.00" backspacing otherwise your tires will hit the lower control arms when you turn and my 11.50s cleared the rear springs by like 3/4s of an inch with stock rims and no spacers.

yeah you will be alright with an 8" wide wheel and 11.5" tire...a lot of people run that setup
the "11.5" in 32/11.50/15 pretty much stands for the maximum width it can be...
