This is my first Jeep, And I bought it from a friend whom I have known for a long time. The Jeep was never really used as a 4WD. Except maybe to pull his boat out of the water once in a while.

It's a 2000 Sport XJ with 190K miles. All power and loaded with goodies. The interior is in super good shape for a 2000. I have all the notes in the manual where the service was always done. It has Michelin 31 X 8.50 tires on it that are like new. (yes They occasionally RUB!) It was a good find I think, I gave 3000 $$ for it..

Anyway, I have been using it for a daily driver. Now I have caught the Cherokee bug !!! My plan is to upgrade the suspension and the chassis over the next few months, And If / When this motor gives up somewhere in the future I will be left with a great Body and chassis ready for an engine upgrade. Although the motor runs great and shows no sign of problems, Uses no oil, No smoke, and runs great. With the exception of a small leak in the rear seal. (Very Small!)

My plans are for a 3" lift to accomodate 31 or 32" X10.50's All terrains. Also I'm going to replace all the front end wear parts such as Tierod ends, bearings, and all bushings (With Urethane!) It has new shocks but they will get replaced when the lift kit goes on anyway.

Anyway thats where I'm at now, So as the Funds will allow I'll get this thing into shape..

What do you Guys think ? Sound like a Plan ??
