Hey everybody,
So I recently picked up my 2000xj and after throwing a few bells and whistles on it I think it's time to do some actually helpful spending on it
What are some good things to check an if bad replace?

Change all your fluids, clean your fuel system, plugs, rotate tires and check your brakes. Even if a shop said your diff fluids are good, never hurts to have fresh, brand new fluids. I would also just go through it meticulously cleaning all your electrical connections and putting on some dielectric grease on them all just cuz! Ooo and grease all your zerks

Are you sure they didnt check the trans, and transfer case fluids. I would change gear oil in differentials, lube the chasis if you have a grease gun( be careful not to over lube the fittings). Check brake pads and shoes, check brake fluid flush if needed. Change the oil and filter and get the wix/napa gold filter.
The tranny fluid looks bran spankin new, even smells good. Gonna do the oil today, Deff gonna check the plugs while I'm at it and the brakes are good too. Cleaning all my ele connections? Like unplug everything and check it(my mechanical knowlage is low) are y zerks those bars underneath with the grease nipples on em?

Here's your homework. Educate yourself about the factory 0331 cylinder head. Not trying to be an alarmist, but everybody who owns an 00-01 needs to understand it....

You should check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir under the hood AT LEAST once a week, as (commit this sentence to your memory), the #1 symptom of a cracked 0331 cylinder head is unexplained coolant loss.
Enjoy your XJ!

Did my plugs and changes the oil. Any other suggestions besides greasing the zerks, which will be done as soon as I can get my hands on my buddy's grease gun

Dielectric grease all your electrical components under the hood. As they said before I'd put fresh gear oil in those axles.
Also, how's your brakes, and ball joints, and hubs?
