Default Long Arms.

Ok, this is the only place I could think to post this.. Does anyone have the Rough Country long arm setup?

Link ~~~>http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_689U.html

Or the Rusty's Offroad long arm setup?

Link~~~>http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...ode=sus_xj_kit

If so, which one is better and why?

For slightly more money you can get one from Staangs fab with a lifetime warranty.

I'd go with rough country over rustys simply because of customer service and price.

Staangs fab would be a much better choice though, at these prices you'd be nit picking to not spend a little bit more to get MUCH better quality

Edit: Realized i didnt give you a link to staangs, www.staangsfab.com

Also look into iron rock offroad. They sell a good kit for the money.

Buddy of mine caved in the crossmember on his RC set up just setting it on a rock, not slamming it down. Was told it was missuse and not a warranty issue so now it's sitting in his back yard. Less than 6 months on the Jeep. I know several people running Rustys and seem to like them.

Yeah, I looked at it before I found the Rough Country kit. I honestly don't like it because it only has one upper control arm and it's on the driver side. I don't trust that. That's just my opinion, though other people can put that kit on but I put my kids in this Jeep.

The people at tnt are (nicely said) not nice people and I'd rather not deal with them. I'll look into the others though.

I just went through the arduous decision of what LA kit I wanted to go with.
After way to many google searches - on every brand and comment - on every jeep/xj forum, I just ordered my IRO upgrade today.

Some say that their weary of the - 3 link, or the fixed position, or out of the norm castor adjustment. But all those that actually have it say they love it and trust it. And quite a few wheel a lot harder then I will be. From I read it binds less and flex's like hell, but it does tend to unload a little more than 4 links. I can live with that. Plus a life time warranty, excellent customer service, and $599 for the upgrade kit shipped to my door was hard to pass up.

I like the design of the rough country LA but I currently have their 6.5" short arm kit and I haven't been happy with it since day one. But I had the older design and the lower adjustable arms are destroying themselves day by day, they need to be replaced asap. I don't want to diss them because I think their a good company and their new **** looks great, and way better designed.

If I wasn't going with IRO, my only other choice would be clayton. In fact if I had more money they'd be number 1 choice, but I don't..

Good luck with your search! Let see some pics of the finished product when you make your decision!
