So I'm stupid and locked myself out. 4° outside. Having someone w/ a coat hangar come. Any idea where the sweet spot is to break into my own jeep? '97 power everything.

If you're careful, you might be able to pop one of the rear side windows out. If not, you'll need a new window. I always get one of the cheap keys made (that'll open the door) and wire it up under the vehicle somewhere. Or keep an extra in your wallet.

Thanks, the guy was a tow truck driver and had this wierd blood pressure type thing for car doors, he got it unlocked. I definitely need to get another key made for if/when this happens in the future. Thanks for the responses.

That's what pop a locks use. Typically they use a wedge to pry open the door at the top, stick the bladder in there, pump it up to create a wider space, then stick a bendable bar type thing in to either pull the handle or hit the lock switch.
Be glad that you know nothing of this, I am too well aware.

Spare key in your wallet or mounted to the vehicle is much easier...
I can't imagine any thief taking the time to search the underbody for a spare key. That's why criminals are dumb.

If you want to keep something in your car to help others, go buy a slim jim. Advance Auto carries them. Around $9 or so.
