Not sure about the 86, but my 84 does not have a TPS or an 02 sensor. If you would like you can PM me and I'd be happy to help you figure out what you need. And most of the things you are pointing out in the picture are temperature switches that run various vacuum components. The tan thing on the left is a breather for your EGR valve. Also are there any wires that come out of your carburetor?

The 2.8 is a General Motors engine and any Engine related questions can be answered in a GM manual, one for a S10 or S15 Pickup will do(GM used this motor in their cars and trucks for years, Jeep only for 3 or 4). PVC valve should be on the drivers side valve cover(front) and goes to the front of the carb. The pic you show with the arrow is pointing at the CCV(crankcase ventilation tube). The Idle jet is in the carb or else it will have an idle air motor mounted on the outside somewhere on the carb.
