A load grinding?

Default A load grinding?

ok soo after putting my lift on my jeep...i went to make sure my 4x4 works. the 4hi works great but it wont go into 4low and when u give it some force it makes a load grinding sound any ideas? i am going to some fire trail in va and would like to fix this.

also if it helps it is only a 3inch lift? with t case drop

plzzz help lol

When you put on a t-case drop you have to adjust the shift linkage. Sounds like it isn't getting fully ingaged into 4lo.

If you look under the truck where the 4wd lever comes through the floor, you will see a rod that connects to the rest of the linkage. There is a bushing on that rod with a set screw in it. You loosen the set screw and slide the bushing till you get where you need to be... If I'm not mistaken, the bushing needs to slide towards the end of the rod after lowering the transfer case.

This is correct. I had to do this on my jeep as well. It takes all of 5 min.
