Not sure if this is really considered tech or not, but figured i'd post it here. On every other car i've owned (including my WJ) the parking/ turn signal lights flash when locking/ unlocking with the key fob. However, on my XJ it does not do this. Is it possible? The only reason i ask, is becuase i like making sure everything is locked up. There's no beep, or light flash. So, i have to listen as i'm walking away to hear the locks. Anyone ever done something like this?

 

you can probably find the codes for pushing the buttons a certain way to turn the lights on. i know my 2002 liberty has a bunch of options that you change by holding certain buttons for a certain amount of time. i disabled the horn but left the light flash because i don't like the horn to honk every time i unlock the doors

 

Hold the lock button on your key fob down for 10-15 seconds. While still holding down the lock button press the unlock button. The horn should now beep when you lock your car.

i know in my 01 when i hit unlock my dome lights go on.. then off when i start my truck...

is there i way to get the lights to flash?

 

I have a problem where the lights and locks start flashing and locking on it's own wondering if I will need a new key fob or if they have batteries to be replaced anyone has this problem before?
