ok, so the lights on our XJ have a mind of their own...
don't have a problem with the headlights or taillights, they always work, but the brake lights work when they want to, the turn signals and hazards don't work at all... i'm almost positive all of this can be attributed to needing a multifunction switch, so no worries
newest lighting effup is with the dome light and dash lights...the dome light hasn't worked since we got the XJ a few weeks ago, but today it started working, but only when we use the headlight **** to manually turn it on, doesnt work with the door buttons...when it started working, the dash lights stopped working...has anyone had similar troubles? if so what was the fix?
if this were just MINE, there would be a nice row of toggle switches on the dash to turn everything on, but since it is primarily my old lady's, that wont work...

My light dont come on when I open the trunk. Which is a PITA cause I do some metal scrapping on the side when my beer funds run low. probably a contact loose or missing

my dome lights dont light up when i open the trunk, but work when i open any door. My problem rests with with the latch/contact/button (IDK how the trunk dome light are supposed to be engaged) and not the lights themselves
did you ever figure out what happened with this? My jeep is doing the same thing and it sucks!
