I'm running a kit a bought from bajahid.com. The only thing I can think of that may be different is that I have upgraded the wiring harness as well. That might have something to do with it.

I love the kit. I was able to do my headlights and 3 KC lights all in HIDs for about $200. The kits came with everything needed to do the installs. 2 H4 bulbs, 3 H3 bulbs, 5 ballasts, and all the wiring. Tony the guy at bajahid.com is a fellow XJ'er and super helpful. I'm not sure if he posts on here but posts a lot over at NAXJA.
I followed the write up on Go Jeep's site on building my upgraded harness.
http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm.
The write up mentions the DRL. Maybe I just got lucky, because I just made the upgraded harness then installed the HIDs.

Should have gone with 5000 - 6000 bulbs. 8000 is too blue/purple and you loose some light deffinition.
Glad to see you have them in projectors instead of blinding everyone on the road. Nice upgrade though the projector headlights just look a little odd to me. You shouldnt have a straight cutoff across the front.
Looking at this pic: You should probably adjust the driver side light down a bit.

I use 4300k HIDS on my e30 - they're brighter and whiter than 6000k. The higher the number, the bluer the light and the less light overall.

well ive had them in about 7 mons now and there still doing good.. got me though all the dark nights here in the chi..
things that i ran in to..
the houseings dont "sit" in there good enof for me i fixed this by puting a hole behind them.. i know i didnt want to cut up my tuck.. but every bump i went over they wood shake.. they are not going ANYWHERE! now im happy with it
they droped out alot apon start up.. you wood have to "flick" your lights you get both of them on..
i went from 8000K too 5000K in my headlights.. i never wanted 8k in the first place but whatever..
im alsoooo going to do my fogs in 6K.. thats for a nother time..
BUT! both are going to be on relay kits.. this will have the HIDS get B+ all the time.. SO you get NO drop outs FASTER warm ups the old set up took forever -_- AND! they will be briter! i know i can tell..
ive put too much time and fab in to this.. but it was worth it.. to everyone that are thinking about geting this setup IF you want REAL hid lights go this way. everything is there for you, goes in farly well and there no guess work if i had to make a pair.. i woodint it wood me to much for me
as allways if you have Q's PM me or post on here and ill do my best to get to them
thank you CF
