Default lighting fix ( HID way )

we all know that XJ lights are ****. i wood get a light bar on top also some on my bumper. but in this town i live in people will get pulled over for anything.. on a stock jeep it woodint look good to :/

about 3 mons ago a came to a post about REAL hid and projectors

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/rea...ay-junk-32448/

(thxs kurazy kracka for posting )

this set up is a conversion headlight kit to h4 with projectors. also you can get Angel Eyes and hids..

http://norcalmr2.com/pegasus/ ( the website )

i got the hole set up with 8k hids.. this is to show everyone that there is other ways to get better lighting..

lets begin the work..

( a preview )

first disconnect your bat. then you need to get the old stuff out. the two screws in the bezle and the 4 to take the light out... ( sry no pics )

next the conversion kit. a one way plug to the stock jeep light pulg..

next is the ballast the big red connector goes to the conversion kit end. the smaller red and blue will go to the blub its self.

now its time for the lights :]

how the hid sits in the houseing..

all of the connectors from the ballast to the hid go one way..

now reconnect your bat and see if everything works..

now do the same thing to the other side put everything back togeter and light them up ;]

sry i have no life.. there will be alot of pics..

( befor and after )

low

low with fogs

old lights ( low with fogs? )

cold start up.

warmed up

full cut off line

i know some of the pics are bad. but if anyone has Q's about anything or want better pics.. pm me or post something here

BEFOR YOU DO ANYTHING.. if you have auto off lights you MUST disconnect it. this will mess a lot of stuff up also in the link i put befor read thought it. there are some probs you need to get longer screws for the 4 in the light houseing..

its hard to show how good hids are in pics.. this is 250% then my old ones i will never go back.

thank you CF and everyone,

aj6

not bad but at 4 times the price of an ipf setup with bulbs and you have to worry about the hids working in sub freezing temps... id rather stick with the simple..
thanks for sharing!

I don't think its that common of a problem because I see HIDs around here in MN and the temps get to be about -60* F in the winter. I have had HIDs in my ZJ and they worked great all winter long.

yes newer jeeps have automatic off lights when you trun off your truck and then your lights they will stay on for 60 sec then go off.. you MUST disconnect this..

mine was in the dash on the drivers side..

the kit that Aj6 has is a really nice kit. it is def not some ebay junk projectors they are the real deal. these are really expensive (400 something without group buy) but you get what you pay for i have personally seen his lights and they are the best kit i have ever seen. im picking up a kit soon
