Lifter tick after oil change. Rotella?

I dont think I would change 1 lifter or 12 without changing the cam as well . If everything points to investing a few dollars in the engine , it's a three day ( including the time to have the head rebuilt ) job . I dont know the car , it may not be worth a 400-500 dollar investment . But if it is ...do it right .

So the tick ended up stopping. And then a misfire started. Compression in cyl 2 was at 20. New motor is gonna go in soon. Sucks cause it only had 145k miles. But I found a reman and I’ll throw it in after Christmas.
