Default Lift shackles

does a 1" lift shackle in the rear give you 1" lift or only 1/2" lift in the rear?

don't use blocks, blocks are bad, they shift, or pop out,or split, plus they cause alot of spring wrap.

i wouldnt agree with the blocks.. ive only heard bad things about them. shackles arent that hard at all to replace just two bolts to come out of the body.

NOt so sure of this. You have to be able to support the whole rig, so you can do this.

A lot of the older fords used Lift blocks from the factory. There are down sides to using them, axle wrap comes to mind as worst problem. If you buy quality ones that center on the center pin and have a "Tab"to go back through spring plate you should be good.

I would agree with him that installing a 2 bolts is easier then installing blocks. MJ shackles will give you one inch. 2" chevy drop shackles will give you 2" of lift.

PLease be advised while using any kind of lift device you change your pinion angle and are subject to driveline vibes do to the change.

The shackles will actually help improve your suspension as a block will only let u fit bigger tires. Its kind of like deciding to do a body lift or a suspension lift. Good luck either route!
