I think you are asking does it really take that much more work at 3.5" compared to shorter lifts...
The answer is YES. With a Cherokee its a very easy equation... The higher you go, more money and parts are needed to do it correctly.
The first split in cost and parts we have is between 3 inch and 3.5 inches. This is where we have reached the limit of stock brake lines, track bar, sway bar and control arms.
Now not every Cherokee is exactly the same. Some will tolerate a lift with less work and others will need more at the same amount of lift.

Even at 3" you're going to have alot of work. Brake lines, shocks, shims to correct pinion angle, correct the steering, etc.

All depends on which kit you buy. Some 3" kits come with the extended brake lines and such some do not. Also depending on the kit will also depend on what the lift will actually measure after install. most lifts are under rated on height. They do this because the goal is they will eventually settle that being the springs to the said height or just over. Example my RE 3.5" kit measures out at about 4.25" but will settle down a bit. Which kits are you looking at?

Also look at Rough Country, Rusty's Offroad and even BDS.. Look at www.jeepinoutfitters.com , www.alljeep.com and they have many options on their site.

Not all lifts come with drops for brake lines..My RE 3.5 only had a longer rear brake line..Didn't need to drop or lengthen the fronts as they had a ton of slack and were aftermarket lines anyways..

All depends on the year model of your jeep...96 and new XJ's tend to have more issues with driveline vibes and need an SYE to fix. Where are 95 and older tend to have fewer issues with vibes. Now all jeeps are different and only way to know is install the lift and assess the need post install..Sometimes shims will fix it sometimes not.
