Hey guys ive posted a few different threads on here going back and forth on how to go about my lift. I'm 16 and im just mow grass to pay for my build. I have a 1999 sport and I'm gettin a 3 inch RC lift. but the thing is, my jeep saggs in the back due to bad leaf springs. So what should i do?
-Buy a 3inch lift with the full rear springs--- $400 (not what i'd prefer to do due to the amount)
OR
-Buy the 3 inch RC lift with the add-a-leaf, and buy my leaf springs separate?
thanks for any help,
jake

I know how you feel man...
I'm 18 and have to do the same **** for my money.
Luckily I just got a job landscaping...
Slow build, but it's coming along well.
How much was the 2nd option though?

Well, im no expert, but I just checked Ebay, cheapest leafsprings look to be like 80$.
I guess u could try junkyards and such, but for 200$ more, I think that's the route onless u try CL or EBAY/Junkyards.
**Wait for an expert opinion though.

I would go with the full leaf pack. It is a little more money now but you won't have to spend it later trying to get the add a leaf to the height you want. I had a get 2 inch lift shackles to level my not so worn stock springs in the back.
If you do get the full pack the forward bolt on the rear springs has a nut welded inside the framerail. you can kinda see the bolt sticking through the inside of the rail, make sure you spray the backside of that bolt good or you will be cutting open your floor.

do you get quadratec?
look into the replacement springs as there are a couple options medium duty-heavy duty sets
might be a good start if you just want to try shackles

If you have a local junkyard nearby pull the packs from an XJ there, if you don't have any luck or find any in good condition I would say save up until you can afford full packs through RC.
