Default Bar's Leaks

Anybody here had any luck with the Bar's Leaks product on Radiator and Head Leaks. I have a 00 Sport that I suspect oil leaking into coolant. (Very Minor). The truck runs great-no problems. I just want to clear this issue up. Bar's Leaks has a few different products that claim to fix a head gasket to "stronger than the original", anyone have any experience with these products?

Everytime I've ever used them my leaks seem to get worse. Just my 2 cents

Ive seen some of that stuff clog up cooling systems pretty bad....... On head gaskets....not sure.

I personally would just fix what ever is wrong instead of tossing who knows what in there to buy some more time.....and in the end thats all it is, buying time.

Leak sealer work, BUT. They are only to be used as a temporary remedy to get you home or the mechanic. They can also cause, more, damage to your motor and components, by plugging up things you don't want to be plugged up.
If you have oil getting into the water, do a leak down compression test. This will help determine if you just have a bad gasket or a cracked block or head.

thanks for the info. The most recent Bar's Leaks package I saw claimed it was a permanent fix that was stronger than the original gasket. How do I perform the Compression test, or is this something my local mechanic can do?
