Default Left Lowbeam not working

Hey guys, recently my left lowbeam has stopped working on my 95 cherokee. My right lowbeam and both highbeams work fine. I checked fuses and they all seem ok, I bought a new light and same problem. I read that with both lowbeams not working, it might be the headlight switch on the dash, might this also be the problem for just one? also since I have to drive a lot of early mornings and nights on mountain roads for work I'm looking into upgrading headlights soon, so if anyone has any helpful ideas and links for better lighting thats not too expensive it would be much appreciated! i was thinking an unsealed housing, h4 conversion harness along with HID ballasts? but any information is appreciated!

The low bean filament on the bulb is probably burnt and will need to be replaced. If you want to upgrade, go with the Putco heavy duty light harness for H4 bulbs and new H4 7"x6" housings. Autopal seems to be the cheapest and a lot of guys have them here. There are several thread here on headlight upgrades.

Enjoy.

Check the ground for the left headlamp, it's not the switch.

Thanks! I did replace the bulb and no luck. I've been debating on the HID, and I think I'll upgrade to that harness, and a better housing, along with some bulbs and see how that works before I invest in anything further!

Check voltage between c and B.

You said your hi beams work, is not the ground.
Check for corrosion.

I had HIDs and hated them. I switched back because I was blinding everybody else. Unless you have true projector lenses (which are expensive), you will be blinding everybody else on the road. It doesn't matter how low you aim them.

I have the HD harness and Autopal housings with regular halogen bulbs and love them!

I don't miss the HIDs at all.

Hey guys, thanks for the helpful ideas, Info, and opinions on my problem and upgraded lighting! As far as the light not working, I took the time to take apart the entire headlight assembly and look into it. I think the original headlight had blown the lowbeam filament but the plug is cracked and pretty dirty so when I changed the headlight in the dark in a snowstorm after working a 10 hr shift either the connector shifted or it was just so dirty it still didnt work. Either way it is working again and cops should leave me alone! As far as upgrading goes, thanks for the Input, I think I'm definitely staying away from the HID. Upgraded harness housings and bulbs sounds like a good start. I've also been wondering if I were to add more lighting what are your thougjts on, and how would I connect it to my high beams so 1 im not that "eternally on fog lights guy" and 2 I'm not that guy who's blinding oncoming traffic. I hate that. I just figure instead of having to hit high beams and rocker switches I can just wire it all up to one place. Where I live and drive there's tall snowbanks, tall roadside plants and close trees and such, so sometimes lights aimed more up and out towards the side helps a lot. For example the other night I couldn't see the 6+ deer and moose on the side of the road until I was nearly by them because of snowbanks and trees and such. Not into this just for looks, I like to see for safety!!
