Okay I give up ..I have a (1990) cherokee 4.0 l have been to two different junk yards, looked online for this simple little part. I'm looking for the breather tube, excuse my ignorance for not knowing the proper name for this .
But it sits on the front of the valve cover and connects to stock air intake.
Why are some parts so hard to find for a 1990??

 

Napa should have the whole kit. The dealer should be able to get it and I have heard that it's not too expensive. I want to say that I also saw the parts at my local Auto Zone. I'm doing both of mine this spring, along with the valve cover mod to make it breath better and to help keep the oil out of rhe air box.

I've been looking for the exact same thing for my 89. Crumbled to pieces. I've tried autozone in my town and showed them pictures of it and most of them had no clue what it was( not the brightest bunch at my zipperzone). I'd keep looking into junkyards. I just put a small can am looking filter on that port for the time being until I can actually find that as well. Keep on hunting the junkyards if napa doesn't have it. Happy hunting

 

All the junkyards seem to be the same in my area there all brittle and cracked

 

at first I didn't see your year, I was about to post a link for a breather hose but its later model.

I wonder if you could swap a newer style valve cover over... and run the simple to find dorman breathers and grommets... and the easier to find tube... (not suggesting this, just wondering if its do-able)
