I have like most oil leaking and trying to see where it is leaking is the question. You have to degrease it and look for the leaks.
Mine was first leaking from the oil senser and oil filter assm, 3 orings and a new senser and still leaking. It was dripping fron the oil drain plug so most people freak and think its rear seal, In my case it was the valve cover just replaced today. Also moved the hose for heater check valve and it just turned to dust and started leaking rad fluid every where, Now how lucky is that. I could have been on the road or down the beach 40 miles. I bought the best valve cover you can get had the holes and sealer all in one and worth every penny.
So now just one more item a leaky stearing fluild hose and that should be the end of leaks.
So my point is to degrease and look for the signs, No one ccan do that but you.

I'd be looking up ABOVE first, and VERIFYING the source of the oil leak YOURSELF.

Everybody, who doesn't own or have to pay for or perform your vehicle repairs, loves to poke their noggin UNDER the Jeep and come out bearing the false bad news that your RMS is leaking.

Many mechanics, friends, people on Jeep forums who can’t see your Jeep from where they’re at, and good old Uncle Bob seem to enjoy telling you it’s the rear main seal. Has a catastrophic ring to it, doesn’t it?

A simple leak at the back of the valve cover or other source could produce the same symptoms. You don’t need to be a mechanic to figure this out. If you have good eyesight and a dim flashlight, you’re good to go on your own. Don't jump on the RMS/oil pan gasket bandwagon right off the bat.

Almost any oil leak on your 4.0 is gonna drip from the RMS area for two simple reasons.

First off, the engine sits nose-up and any oil will run back to the RMS area. Secondly, the RMS area is also the lowest point on the engine. Simple physics and the old plumber's adage apply here. "$hit flows downhill".

Valve cover gasket, oil pressure sending unit, oil filter adapter seals and distributor gasket, in that order, have to be eliminated as possibilities first.

I hear that, The problem i had it was leaking a very little here and there, Both i think they are CVC not PVC where dripping a little and just a little on the sides of valve cover and i am sure the far back where you cant see munch. So i would get 2 or 3 good size drops in the morning and it drives me nuts. But with all jeeps you take on the more needed projects and leave the dripping for down the road.
