Leaking ABS pipe, need advice
This has been an issue when i got my '92 Sport 3 years ago, PO even told me about it.
A black piece going from the Brake cylinder to the ABS pump has a verrrrry slow leak. I just have to top off the fluid every week or so. Since the ABS was so rare on the '92, it's been a total b-word to get a new part for cheap (Since i have no income ATM), and i can't find a single Cherokee at any junkyard in my area that is even equipped with ABS.
I took it to my mechanic and he said all he can do is replace it (Which would've been $80 for the part alone) OR use an adhesive to seal the leak.
Anyways, the adhesive (which was some sort of plastic cement? Can't remember) did wonders, until the brake fluid dissolved it and now it leaks again. So, any ideas for a better fix? I wish my parents would stop being so cheap about something so serious.
