Default Cracked door, welding a good diea?

When i got my '92, the driver door had this really annoying rattle going that would not stop. So i just opened it to see what was causing it (Thinking it was just a loose bolt or something simple) and found that the inside was split.

I can't afford a door at the junkyard, so i figured i could just have my friends dad weld the crack. I'm just wondering if that would be a safe idea, since i have power windows and locks.

Crack is just above the window motor's mount, started in that indented part apparently.

I'm not doing the welding lol, my friends dad is. I'm just afraid the current might screw up my wiring.

Add a plate and pop-rivet it in. Better than welding.

youll be fine welding it, just drill a hole at the start of the crack to prevent it from cracking farther. and make sure you unhook the battery also.
