Well im still fixing po problems. The old owner ripped the old door off my jeep. I replaced the door but the problem now is the plate that the bolts are screwed to are stripped because when the door was ripped open. I tried acess the screw where it mounts but i cant get at it. If the old nuts are still welded up in the pillar and just striped out, you can drill them out and tap them to a larger bolt size.
If the nuts are gone, all I can think of is to use a hole saw to drill out an access port in the other side of the pillar so you can get nuts onto the bolts from the inside the pillar.
The problem with that is that the term "Uni" is key to the design of unibody construction.
You can't just go cutting holes in structural members without weakening the integrity of the unibody.

Dang fricken clip nuts.......i wish jeep never used them. It looks like a plate on the other side but i have to look if there are nuts still on the plate. I should just weld the dumb thing onto the truck.
