Leafs bolts are stuck!!! Help!!!
Trying to get my front leaf bolts out to put my new lift leafs in and the are so stuck its not even funny! I have been soaking them for about a week in PB blaster but they only turn a half turn at a time with a huge breaker bar... Any suggestions? Is the leafs under a load? I have the u bolts out and axle out but it's a no go...

Just finished mine today. I sprayed both the front and rear shackle bolts with pb blaster for the last two months. Then today i put a two foot breaker bar on and a four foot steel pipe on that and turned them one eighth of a turn each time i stopped i pb,d it and start again. Once you start do not stop. For some reason they resieze. It took about four hours to do each side and two cans of blaster but i didnt break the dreaded weld nuts inside the frame. Also if you have a hitch it may interfear with taking the spring off the shackle wile still in the jeep, i had to take the top shackle bolt out.

When I had to change mine the bolt was seized so badly against the bushing the whole end of the rusted spring finally just snapped off and was just turning and turning. Had to finally just reach in with the sawz-all and cut the bolt. But don't do what I did and keep turning and turning it if it's not moving or else you'll strip out the threads

I did the 3" shackle lift and had the same problem. It took alot of PB blaster-heat-breaker bar -12 pack of beer. Took a few hours but got them out. We did the same lift on my buddies jeep and his was even worse. We had to cut the bolts with a sawsall . But now it's done and happy with the end result.

I have got the new bolts ordered... They will be here tomorrow sometime but i still dont have the old ones out. I think i will just try my best to pull the fronts out without breaking them or cutting them, and i will just cut the backs and save myself some heartache. Thanks for the help y'all!

I know this will only work for doing add a leafs, but you don't have to drop the whole pack just to add 1. I just left mine on, got a few extra c clamps and a friend for an extra set of hands. Just pop the u bolts spead the clips and bust of center bolt and the bottom springs come out real easy. Just takes a few extra steps to compress everything back together. But it's hella easier then trying to get those bolts off. I tried for a little while but then decided to do it the easy way
