It would probably just be easier to cut them out and put new ones in... Save ya a lot of hassle and swearing!

I only got one of my 4 to come out and had to cut the other three. Did break loose one of the dreaded inside-the-frame welded nuts, so ended up having to cut a hole in the floorboard to get at it and even then it was a major PITA.

I'm about to go try this today. Have a new set of RE leafs that I want to put in. I'm kind of discouraged hearing all the trouble they've been for others. I've soaked it in PB a couple times over the last week, so hopefully I'll get somewhere with it. Hopefully....

Is there any way to open up the backside of the frame (maybe a holesaw or something) and drill the bolt out of the threaded portion, and just slide the new bolt through, put on a big nut, and weld a plate over the hole? Just wondering. I really don't want to start hacking into the "frame" but I need these off. Damned OE ones are so saggy I've got a 2" block in them and it's not much higher in the back than stock.
