Question Leaf springs oem or similar replacement

I think I have already posted something like this but. I need to replace my leafs. What other vehicle had near the same or the same ride highth as my xj or am bound to xj springs. Keep in mind. I don't want much lift if any. And I am not beyond junk yard parts

Here's a site with Jeep parts catalogs for various years. They can be down loaded in PDF format. I find them very useful.( http://www.xjjeeps.com/tech_reference.asp?section=2&ID=0 ) Should you want to get new ones from a parts dealer. I myself, if I'm going to do the work of replacing leafs. Wouldn't put in used ones. (Unless I was getting rid of the vehicle soon.) Because I wouldn't want to replace them again, a few years down the road. (Just like I can't see using AAL's in used leafs.)......JMO!

Only XJ springs will be direct bolt-on, quadratec has good pricing. If you want no lift new stock height springs would be the best solution. You can do some JY upgrades for lifting. Such as S-10 springs swapped into your spring pack, 1.5" to 4" lift, depending on combination used. Most JY springs are used in "Bastard Packs", is baiscally the same concept as a AAL but without the sagging, because you are using used springs.
AAL means Add-A-Leaf, is a single leaf spring added to yours to add lift and carring capacity. I agree with not using in saggy stock leafs, if you are looking for lift. but if you are just trying to restore ride hieght or increase carring capacity, they are a valid option.

AAL= add a leaf JMO= Just my Opinion.... Do you just want stock ride height or do you want some lift? if you want some lift you can do a bastard pack using S10 or Dakota packs search bastard pack either on this forum or google

NO, there is no direct bolt on for the XJ, except XJ springs. S-10 springs can be used as part of a "Bastard Pack". In your case you would cut the eyes off of the S-10 main spring and install it under the XJs main spring. It will lift the rear about 1.5", removing your current sag. But not lifting much over stock height, maybe 1/2" or so. Same as doing a AAL but with out the sagging and stiffness. See by using the Junkyard S-10 spring, they come to you pre-sagged.
