engine fan question

engine fan question
hey question idk if my engine fan is surposed to be on when the engines on but its not turning on. Is it bad or does it only come on when the engines hot

The electric fan should only run if the AC or defroster is on or if the water temp is above 210 degs. If it runs every time you start the motor, you probably have a bad temp sensor or relay.
