Default the last bolt....

So, I found out recently that my clutch in the XJ is shot sooooo what do you do when something is broken?? Your fix it.... so, I was in the process of dropping the tranny and what happened?.... the last bolt on top of the tranny got rounded off!!!! The reason I rounded it is because I couldnt see it and thought it was a regular bolt so i used a regular socket.... well, its a star bolt...... and now it is rounded to far to get anything to catch it...... this is my first time and well, I am learning lol

Go to Sears Hardware.. get an E12 Torx socket. You should still be able to get it out.

A small pipe wrench works great for getting rounded off bolts out.

If that doesn't work, you can try to file down some sides on it so you have something to grab onto

Once you get it out go to local hardware store, and replace them with hex head nuts for the future.

You can try a 3/8" or similar size standard or metric 12pt socket. Tap it on if it's a little big.
