Knocking sound
Hey so basically as of recent I’ve had a knocking sound in my xj (4.0 i6) and I’ve replaced the transmission in the past so I’ve narrowed it down to three things 1.) flex plate bolts. Reason being is it stops after warming up. 2.) rod knock this is worst case because it doesn’t present as a rod knock as it stops in high rpms and only happens when I brake or do a cold start. Or 3.) something with the throttle body. Not too sure on the last two but any advice would be appreciated.
