knocking sound

Default knocking sound

so at idle and low rpms i can hear a knocking from the passenger side just behind the firewall but cant hear it when under the hood. anyone got an idea of what this may be?

Sounds like a flexplate knock to me.

thanks ill give that a try and see what happens. hopefully its just loose bolts.

so i took it apart and tightened the bolts and such and still there is a knocking. no cracks nothing wrond and torqued to spec. anything else that could be the issue?

Piston knock most likely, something you shouldn't have to worry about. Can you make a video of the sound?

Most likely the solenoid thing for ac/heater

If you keep the phone a few feet from the engine, it'll do fine. The closer the phone is, the more distorted the sound is.
