Ke-less Entry
hey guys I'm just wondering how to remove the key-less entry receiver from my 96 sport. i know that the cover comes off and that the board is under that but i dont know if there is any risks in disconnecting the wires. can anyone help me with this? my reason for removing this is because i don't have the remote for it and i would like to mount my CB there. Thanks a lot everyone.

There SHOULD not be any negative effects from unplugging it. I have mine unplugged right now, as I am in the process of re-doing the headliner, so the overhead console is out. I'd say unplug it and start it up, only way to be sure.
You know that you can buy new remotes for those don't you?

No nothing happened. It didn't work all the time anyhow. I can still plug it back in, and put a batteryin the remote ( it lives under the back seat ).

If you have an earlier model, you may be able to program it yourself.
